How does it all work?

We loan you the clippers and pails with a bit of water.  You then head out to the garden and cut the flowers you’d like.  Next you bring them into the barn or to the flower stand and we price and wrap the flowers.

Prices range from 40¢ – $2.00 per stem depending on the variety.

For those who are too busy to pick or would rather not, we usually have some flowers freshly cut to choose from or we can take custom orders.

What blooms when?

Our beautiful selection of flowers is constantly changing!  Each season is a little different though, so if you have questions before you come out to pick please contact us!

Our flowers gardens are in bloom with many varieties (Cosmos, Zinnias, Sunflowers, etc.)  from mid-July through the end of September. Some years, we have a few weeks of cold and rainy weather which might cause the flower gardens to bloom a few weeks later or the season may last longer into mid-October. The best way to see what we will have in bloom is to come out to the farm and walk the garden.

Flower Care Tips

Here are a few tips to get the most out of your cut flowers.

Tip 1 Cut the stems with a slanted cut and place them immediately in water.  If the flowers are kept in water in a cooler environment (out of the direct heat and sunlight) they should last beautifully for 3-5 days or longer.

Tip 2 – Keep the water level in your vase high – they drink a lot!
